Someone recently asked me to summarise the Epistle to the Romans in one short phrase. My response was that it is essentially a proclamation of ‘The gospel of God … concering his Son Jesus Christ our Lord’ (Romans 1:1,3).
There is a great need in this day and age when there is undoubtedly a ‘famine of the word of God’ for that gospel which Paul sets forth in doctrinal terms in his epistle to the Romans to be widely declared, preached, proclaimed and expounded - both boldly and clearly.
This website exists, therefore, to present truths from the gospel of God as set forth in the epistle to the Romans. Of course the same gospel is to be found in every book of the Bible - its message is the same throughout. However the epistle to the Romans has always particularly stood out as a majestic doctrinal summary of the gospel of Christ in its various parts. Therefore the concentration of this website is upon those truths of the gospel as clearly declared in this glorious epistle.
Having written a number of articles on various passages in Romans over the past few years I thought it worthwhile to gather them together and present them in one place. This website is the result.
Articles are presented on the Home page in the order of posting (which won’t necessarily follow the order of the chapters in Romans upon which they are based). However, categories are also presented on the right side of each page, which include the chapters in Romans for which articles exist. These categories allow easy navigation of the articles based on either subject, or chapter.
May the Lord be pleased to use it for the good of His people and for the glory of His precious Name.
